Praying for the Midterms
Community, Interests, Prayer
At “Praying for the Midterms” small group, our mission is to seek God’s blessings over our nation with a vision to see the fruit of Matthew 6:10 in the 2026 Midterm elections: "Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done." We need legal, safe and free elections without corruption. We need people in public office who will make good policy decisions that support Christian values. Let it not be said that we have not because we did not ask God for it.
Come and pray that God will be glorified as Americans exercise their civic responsibility and voting privileges in the 2026 midterm elections. In September 1785 at the close of the Constitutional Convention, Elizabeth Willing Powell asked "Well doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" Benjamin Franklin famously responded, "A republic, if you can keep it." Franklin's concise reply emphasized that the fragile nature of our new Constitutional Republic is not self-sustaining, but its very survival depended and still depends on the active civic participation of a moral electorate. Let's pray for a moral electorate who votes for God's best for our nation.
